I am an evolutionary biologist with a passion for investigating the patterns and processes underlying the diversity of life.
Combining field, lab, and computational research, I explore how physical and genetic characteristics differ between natural populations of vertebrate species across space and time, and examine the evolutionary processes shaping those differences.
My ultimate career goal is to work at the interface of genomics and evolutionary biology research as a professor. I have had the privilege of earning my education and research experience from a wide variety of institutions. From community college, to an R1, to an RUI, to an Ivy League institution, I have learned that brilliant professors and students are conducting rigorous research at every level in academia. I am therefore open to pursuing employment at any academic institution where I can combine my interests in empowering students to be creative critical thinkers, and conducting cutting-edge scientific research in evolutionary genomics. |
